The aim of the course is to lay the foundation of the language structure by teaching the phonetic system, the basic rules of Russian literary pronunciation, and the rules of grammar and syntax.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Know the rules of Russian pronunciation and the existing intonation structures.
- Recognize the differences between typographic and calligraphic letters and the traditional way of writing them.
- Know the Russian case system and the basic functions of each case, along with the prepositions that accompany them.
- Successfully connect the functioning of the Russian verb system (especially the functioning of the infinitive) with the case system.
- Recognize simple syntactic structures that are widely used in everyday speech to be able to communicate, ask, request, introduce themselves or introduce others, and describe their friend with simple sentences, as well as write a simple personal letter.

Course Description:
The aim of the course is to continue building upon the foundation of the language structure with more complex structures, the complete mastery of the case system and the peculiarities of its functioning, as well as the verb system, which is subject to the rules of grammar and syntax.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Know the broad functionality of the entire system of Russian cases, verb forms, and tenses.
- Write simple notes and messages (a simple personal letter) in a simple and concise manner.
- Reproduce simple sentences to describe their family, other people, their qualifications, their recent or current professional occupation.
- Understand short and simple personal letters, the expressions and words that are very frequently used and relate to themselves, their family, work, and immediate environment.
- Connect the functioning of morphological and syntactic structures that are used in everyday speech.
- Know the necessary vocabulary to support that level.

Course Description:
The aim of the course is for students to understand written texts based on the given linguistic material of everyday communication and to acquire basic communicative competence, that is, to be able to use the Russian language in spoken and written language, formal or friendly.
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:
a) Understand phrases in Russian, in written and spoken language, to satisfy specific everyday needs. Furthermore, they must be able to infer the probable meaning of unknown words, based on the central idea of the text on every day, specific, familiar topics.
b) Be able to use sentences and expressions that appear frequently and are associated with personal and family information, shopping, entertainment; and be able to communicate using basic language skills in everyday situations/conditions that require simple and direct exchange of information about familiar topics.
c) Demonstrate the ability to understand reproduced speech, speech in the form of dialogue or monologue, as well as understanding written texts, corresponding to the program and the material taught at the Basic Level of the Russian language.

Course Description:
The aim of the course is to develop in students the ability to correctly use the language in everyday communication, both written and oral, as well as an understanding of how the language functions. Students will be able to find and understand the central idea of complex texts, within their capabilities. They will be able to converse easily with native speakers, without problems in reproducing clear and complex texts on various topics.
After completing the course, students should be able to:
- produce written descriptive and narrative speech with logical clarity and precision
- express themselves fluently and naturally, without difficulty in expression, using vocabulary that contains elements from the social, academic and professional field,
- develop their thinking logically and coherently, and, in relation to the communication situation presented to them, render the basic content of what they heard or read using description, narration, as well as mixed forms,
- can understand the most important points of a text, on topics familiar to them, to be able to discuss in monologue with native speakers in everyday situations, describe their experiences, their goals and desires, and express their opinion.

Course Description:
The main goal of the course is to introduce students to the translation not only of Russian texts into Greek, but also of Greek texts into Russian, that is, to acquire the necessary skills and abilities for the correct rendering in the translation of different types of texts. Specifically, students practice analyzing the source text, become familiar with the stages of the translation process, learn to apply translation strategies and techniques, as well as to analyze and document their translation choices using valid sources of documentation.
