The Unit is dedicated to the teaching of Greek as a foreign and/or second language, as well as to the promotion and dissemination of Greek culture. It offers Greek language courses, training seminars, as well as specialized programmes, such as summer schools, as part of the School’s research activities, creating a multicultural and dynamic environment.
The Unit for the Greek Language and Culture was initially established and operated as the “Laboratory of Greek Language and Culture” (EGLC) within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Patras (Government Gazette 26297/B/2273/21.10.2015).
