    Course Description:

    This course is designed to equip students with essential academic skills tailored specifically for the fields of Agribusiness and Agricultural Sciences. Through a comprehensive exploration of topics such as modern agriculture foundations, soil and environmental management, agribusiness marketing, and food safety, students will learn to critically identify, evaluate, and draw valid conclusions from scholarly texts related to agricultural products and technology.
    Key learning objectives include the development of writing skills necessary for crafting academic papers, as well as enhancing oral communication abilities to participate effectively in seminars and to present research findings confidently. Students will engage in practical exercises that foster coherence, cohesion, and unity in academic writing, culminating in participation in a literature review seminar.
    This course not only prepares students for academic success but also positions them as informed contributors to the future of farming and rural economies.

    This course is designed to enhance students’ reading, writing, and speaking skills within an academic context. Students will engage with techniques related to critical reading, including skimming, scanning for specific information, and identifying main ideas. Additionally, the curriculum focuses on essential aspects of academic writing, such as maintaining an objective tone, constructing arguments, referencing other authors and sources, and adhering to organizational patterns. Students will also learn how to effectively structure an oral presentation.
