The aim of this course is to develop students’ competence in and awareness of academic English in order to successfully develop strategies for reading academic texts related to the subject of Education and exploit key text content for further study purposes including written work, seminar discussion and oral seminar presentation. It focuses on developing grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and style in the context of early childhood education so that academic and socio/cultural assimilation can easily occur.
